Packer

Packer is a 9-month-old white lab/pitbull mix. His eyes are bright green with a blue spot on his right eye. He is absolutely stunning! Packer’s puppy mentality shines through and he is full of energy and tons of puppy love. Packer has been working with a trainer and his foster family to learn basic commands, manners, and good behavior. He is fully crate trained (easily sleeps through the night without interruption) and house/potty trained. Some skills that Packer will continue to need work on are walking on a leash without pulling, being “mouthy,” and jumping up when you greet him. Packer loves to play with his foster family’s other two dogs and loves sharing his toys and bones. He is, however, not fond of the felines and should be in a home without cats. He is wonderful with children and knows when to be gentle. Packer can’t wait to find his forever home, he is looking forward to meeting you! *  Playful boy, loves playing in the water! His adoption fee is $250 put in an application at www.eapl.com

The adoption fee is sponsored through December 30th, 2021 as a fundraising promotion for EAPL by  EXIT   ASCENT  REALTY !

Lizzie just loves all the fur kids in her foster home and she LOVES all sizes of humans! They have a doggie door and tend to go out as a little pack lol she may need some reminders and a schedule in her new home.  She will need some leash work and all the fun training a new little puppy-girl needs to learn from their forever family.  Her adoption fee is $250.  Put in an application at www.eapl.com

Dr. Natalie Whiskers

FROM PREVIOUS RESCUE:  Dr. Natalie Whiskers was rescued from the bushes around a hospital in southern CO, thus her name.  She was quite a sensation here, all over the local FB pet pages as so many people were trying to feed and catch her.  They failed, but one of our volunteers who works at the hospital succeeded.  Her rescuer is also her foster mom and says “Dr. Whiskers is a very sweet cat. She doesn’t like fast movements or people’s hands to approach her at her face. She likes it better if you pet her sides or back first, then she’ll let you pet her chin and head forever. She loves attention, being held and she loves to play with hair bands, of all things. She hates being in a crate and I find if you just turn her loose from the crate and let her chill for 30 or 40 minutes after being released she forgives you and is friendly again. She has a very soft meow and greets you at the door.” Dr. Whiskers is about 4 yrs old. She does not do dogs, probably because there were two that were allowed to chase her when she was on the street.  However, she gets along with her foster’s cats. Currently at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center hosted by Chow Down in Evergreen.  The poor girl is very slowly adjusting (still very shy) to another change of environment, so she needs out of the cat room to be the girl she was in her rescue home.  Come by to meet this beautiful girl.

Bode

If you’re looking for a running or a hiking buddy – Bode is your new best friend!  He’s a very happy and friendly pup.  He loves to play with other dogs – but he comes on strong – so needs a playmate that would be confident and a bit bigger than Bode. (Currently, his play buddy is a 120 pound Plott Hound / Mastiff mix.) Bode is energetic and has two speeds – full steam ahead or dead stop!  He loves tug-o-war and needs a good run/walk twice a day. He did wonderful at his eval for doggie daycare and just loved the time to run and play with new friends! He does crate well – and he’s been good overnight in a dog bed in our room.  He does well with children (just know that his enthusiasm could knock over small ones without any malicious intent).  NOT a good match for kitty cats.  He loves to cuddle on the couch with you once his energy has been expended and he will follow you from room to room.
