Lila

Ilsa (Lila), a pretty girl who is about 3 and came to us as a kitten. She became unsettled in her adopted home a few months after the baby was born.  Since coming back, she has settled in to her new environment.  She likes to be petted and likes to play.  She will also sit in your lap for pets.  She needs a home where folks understand she’s been a bit traumatized after losing her home.  She should be the only cat as she doesn’t consider the other cats very good friends!

Pepper

Pepper is a beautiful 6 1/2 yo Himalayan/Calico mix.  She lost her home in Oklahoma when the grandmom had to go into assisted living.  Pepper is a sassy and shy girl. Sadly, when she was a kitten,  she was infested with fleas and ear mites and had a really bad sinus infection. Because of all of the health problems at such a young age, she has some impairment–she has depth perception problems and her eyes shake.  We were told she loves to cuddle and chase flies and that she’s very sweet once she gets to know you.  Come meet this girl at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center in Chow Down Pet Supply store in Bergen Park.  She is not happy being around a lot of cats and sticks to herself.  She is unsettled in the Adoption Center to people and the other cats, so she needs a safe secure and quiet home.

Boo

Boo suffers from Irritable Bowel Disease.  From years of not being medicated and not being on the correct diet, it was difficult for her original owners to manage her issues.  Since being returned to EAPL after many years, our vet has determined her medication and diet.  Now Boo is a healthy, happy girl, although medication will be necessary for her lifetime.  She is one prednisone and tylosin; diet is Royal Canin Gastric Food.  Boo is a loving, playful, sweet natured girl who needs nothing more than a loving home.  Easy to medicate, although she’s not fond of it

Hammie

Hammie” Applesauce (Ham Sandwich, Ham and Eggs, Hambone, Hamsteak…you get the idea). You could adopt him for the nickname possibilities alone. Or you could take him home because he is a smart and sweet and oh so cuddly and full of everything it takes to be your best friend. Hammie has spent much of his short life in a shelter which is why his foster home is so impressed with his progress since arriving. He’s learning all the basics very quickly and building his confidence daily. Hammie is amazing with other dogs and does well with dog-savvy cats. He loves meeting new people and once he’s checked things out, he settles in quickly in any environment. He’s truly the perfect mix of easy-going and up for anything.

Faith

My name is Faith and I am a 3-year-old boxer mix with a full heart of love! There is nothing I love more than snuggling up with someone, except maybe playing fetch in the backyard. I love kids more than anything in the world and would love a full family to give me pets and take me on their adventures. I play great with my foster parent’s puppy and I am very playful with their cat! I had a rough past so I can be reactive to some dogs, but with enough time, I can be friends with almost anyone! My foster parents have crate trained me and I sleep so well through the night, too. I wait to go to the bathroom until I am outside, and I love to learn new tricks when I am offered treats in return. I even do really well at bath time! I would make such a great addition to any family looking for a girl like me to shower them with love.

Stix

Hi! I’m STIX! Lover at heart I am an active dog who would do best in a home with an active family! I can play all day long if you would let me. I get along with other dogs, so long as I have a proper introduction, I mean, isn’t it a little weird to like everyone you meet right off of the bat? I am a boxer, heeler mix (thus why it is important for me to be able to chew on some toys to keep me occupied when I am not playing), so no young kiddos or kitty cats please. I promise to make you happy as I have lots of love to give. I just need someone who won’t give up on me and will continue to help me be the best dog I can be. I am currently living with a female bully breed and doing great!!! I love to play.

Miss Lucy

Meet little Miss Lucy!   She is still a puppy, birth date is June 2020, so she needs to be active & have chew toys, walks, play fetch, etc.  She is smart! She learns quickly.  We are guessing she is a maybe plott hound with a sprinkling of lab and a splash of sharpei mix.  She is 62lbs.  She does well with children of all ages. She likes to sleep in bed with her humans. She likes to be with her humans (baby to adult size).  Her foster would suggest Lucy go into a home that she is the only Alpha female (only female). She does well with male dogs.

Stacey

Meet Stacey! This little spitfire had a rough start, spending several weeks in a body cast, but is all healed up and ready to play catch up on puppyhood! She is a 30 lb. 1yr old loveable bundle of curiosity and energy. She loves her people to the point where she desperately longs to go wherever you go, so some time and patience is needed to show her its ok to hang back and wait patiently, whether in her kennel or the car, but once boundaries are laid, she would be the perfect everywhere dog. She is potty trained, loves car rides, and does great in public settings, getting along with everyone she meets, and is just happy to be out with you. She walks well on a leash (although, know she’s just a pup, and still needs some coaching in controlling that energy a little in public), and we’ve yet to find a dog, big or little, male or female, that she doesn’t absolutely love. So far she seems pretty indifferent about kitties, so with time and supervision, I’m sure she would adapt just fine. With all that energy and puppy learning to do, this gal has so far been responsive and eager to learn. Just needs the patience and the coaching. She is anxiously waiting for her perfect family who has the patience and love for a puppy on the go and shows her how good life can be now that she’s healed!

Bailey

Bailey is a true “wiggle butt.”  When you walk into a room, her whole body moves because of how happy she is to see you.  Bailey is a 3.5-year-old pocket Pit Bull weighing in at the perfect size of  45 pounds.  Not only does she love to wag that tail, but she enjoys playing in the backyard, licking her Kong toy, and lounging on the couch.  She would do best as the only pet in the home. If you are interested in meeting Bailey Mae, please fill out an application.
