**Cute Kitten Alert**Li’l Dude was found near the riverwalk in Pueblo. He’s now 4 months old, vetted and thriving. He’s a sweet boy who Foster mom describes as: “Li’l Dude is a very sweet and playful kitten who loves to stand up on his hind legs, twist his back and pounce on you in a “surprise attack” that fools no one. He loves all sorts of toys and is still learning to share them. He will hold his toys in his mouth and then growl if another cat wants to take it from him. He is still learning that it is okay to be picked up and held close but after a few seconds he wants down and would rather play in your lap or on the floor. He will let out the occasional hiss, but it's usually directed towards people he doesn't quite know yet. He tends to be leery of strangers. His purr motor pretty much runs non-stop, and he loves the attention. He loves his dry kitten kibble and canned food and the occasional Churu or freeze-dried chicken treats. Litter box trained but I do recommend a high sided litter box.” He is currently at a foster home in Evergreen. Good morning and happy Monday! It's going to be a beautiful week!We had a great deal of action the last few weeks on social media. Most of it was wonderful, but some was a little bit less than kind. The rescue life is HARD, y'all. There are so many dogs and cats in need and we try to save as many as we can. It's emotionally exhausting, heart-breaking and wonderful at the same time. We're not perfect, we are all volunteers who dedicate a great deal of time to EAPL. Please remember there are humans on this side of the keyboard and we are all doing our best for these animals!We have SO many dogs arriving this week and next. Here's something to make you smile.
