**Meet Wendell!**This is truly an AWESOME boy! Wendell is leaving behind a life in the streets where he was dirty, depressed, scared and hungry and had nasty scratches on his head. It was pretty clear that life on the streets was too much for him. Everything changed the moment he entered foster care. Thanks to his foster mom and dad, today Wendell is a happy and loving boy who is learning to trust humans again, to play, to enjoy life and to share his enormous capacity for love. Wendell loves to be loved, to have his foster mom hold him like a baby where he will stay as long as possible. Wendell loves his foster mom but is crazy about his foster dad, jumping into his arms when he walks into the room. This 6 yr old boy is looking for someone to be his best friend. Wendell’s foster mom says: “He’s a sweetheart with a heart as big as his purr. On his very first day, Wendell climbed into my arms, let out the biggest sigh of relief, and settled in for a long, peaceful nap, finally safe, warm, and home. Since then, he’s shown exactly who he is at his core: a loving, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to his person. Wendell is the definition of a cuddle bug. He loves to be held, especially like a baby, and will happily fall asleep in your arms. His purr starts the moment he senses snuggles coming his way. While he’s rediscovered his playful side (he enjoys chasing wand toys and using his scratching post), Wendell will choose affection over everything else, every single time. If you’re looking for a true best friend—the kind who will encourage you to watch one more episode, read one more chapter, or take a cozy afternoon nap, Wendell is your guy.
