"*** Please, if you can, consider adopting 1 or both of these girls. They have been in my care for roughly 5 weeks, after being abandoned by their owners. They are extremely sweet but also pretty amazing guard girls. Particularly of women, but also of their home and family. I am not able to keep them much longer. I am hoping that somebody can step in for them, as they will have no chance at our overly packed shelters. They are great with chickens, children, cats, and other dogs**** Located in Taos, NM, however, I will travel to get them a good home. They do not need to go together. Lab mixes. Approximately 5 years old. Fully vaccinated & Spayed. They will come with a color, leash, food bowl and bag of dog food. Background: I rescued 22 animals in early February that were abandoned outside of Taos, called Tres Piedras. I found homes for all the cats, chickens, and turkeys, but not the dogs. I currently have 12 cats and dogs of my own and will be traveling to Alaska this summer with my posse. These girls are so wonderful! They are sweet, affectionate, but also will guard their people, as I fortunately discovered recently. If they end up in the Shelter system here, they will just get lost and likely euthanized.
