Good morning! We're continuing our February focus on fostering! Today we are talking about reactivity. Some of our fosters arrive with invisible baggage — fear, uncertainty, and experiences we'll never fully know. For many of them, that shows up as reactivity toward other dogs. It's not aggression. It's not "bad behavior." It's a dog telling us, in the only way they know how: I've been scared, and I'm not sure I'm safe yet.If you're fostering or adopting a reactive dog, swipe through the slides below to learn:✅ What's really happening in your dog's brain✅ The "threshold" concept every owner needs to know✅ 6 proven, force-free training techniques✅ What to avoid (common mistakes that make it worse)✅ Why management is a training strategy — not failureProgress takes time, but it IS possible. Every calm moment matters.Drop a 🐾 in the comments if you have a reactive dog — let's support each other! And share this post with someone who needs it. ❤️#EAPL #DogTraining #ReactiveDog #DogBehavior #PositiveReinforcement #ForceFreeTraining #DogMom #DogDad #ReactivityTraining #DogTips #LeashReactivity #adoptdontshop ... **Courtesy Listing**This is NOT an EAPL animal. We cannot answer questions about Aries or help with his adoption. Please contact the Clear Creek Shelter with any inquiries. Aries is a 8-9-year-old, 95-pound American Bulldog/Boxer/Pit Bull mix. He is a gentle giant who is great with older kids and adults. He knows common commands and walks well on leash. He is very calm and checks in with his handler often. What our volunteers say: “He is so kindhearted and considerate of people.” “One of the calmest dogs ever.” “Gentle giant is definitely the best way to describe this sweetie!” Aries would do best in a home without other dogs, cats, or young children. For more information, call the shelter at 303-679-2477 or email us at clearcreekshelter@gmail.com ... See MoreSee Less
