It's Black Dog Week at EAPL! Meet Leif/Reef!Leif (or as we call him Reef) is a four month old lab mix and sweet, spunky, adorable, loving, cuddly… and it all comes in the perfect puppy package. Reef is 100% love bug. The way he leans into you for soft kisses and snuggles will absolutely melt your heart. He loves gentle face scratches while getting a million little snoot smooches. He is food motivated and trains well with tasty treats. He’s doing great with potty training. He does great in the crate at night and for up to 2 hours during the day, especially, if he gets serious exercise beforehand and a tasty, long-lasting treat to keep him busy. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day, at least during the puppy period, as he probably can’t be trusted out of the crate on his own for a little while at least. Leif will be the perfect dog for someone who’s looking for a reward oriented adorable puppy who only wants to be with his humans and dog friends. Our favorite thing about Reef is he loves to cuddle. Meet Reebok!Here's his story: A wonderful local man set up a great outdoor sanctuary for the feral cats who wondered onto his property. The cats were kept very safe and warm, secluded from predators. However, being intact, we soon had kittens!! EAPL took in 3 sets of them and are working with him to have everyone altered, so he can still keep them safe, but non-productive. The Shoe Kittens (Puma, Nike, Sketcherz, Reebok, Jimmy Choo and Yeezy) are siblings from this colony. All are fabulous kittens from being handled from a young age. They are curious, playful, loving and exuberant. They are currently in a foster home in Evergreen waiting for their perfect new home. Complete a cat application on the www.eapl.com website.
