We have the sweetest adoption update for you today. Magnolia's mom contacted us yesterday and shared a wonderful update and some pictures. Magnolia came to EAPL in 2016. She was found in a park- Magnolia was missing her right rear foot (paw) completely - it had healed but her paw was not there. No one knows what happened, as that was how she was found. When the shelter could not adopt her out they placed her up for a rescue to take her and EAPL said YES send her to us. EAPL consulted with our amazing vets and they said that the safest course of action for her long-term health and walking would be to amputate her leg. Despite everything that this cute little chocolate lab mix girl had been through she was so happy, playful and energetic and ready to hit the Colorado adventures with her forever family. Enter her forever family!! From her mom:"Magnolia trotted into our lives 8 years ago, though we only call her Magnolia when she's in trouble. In our lives, she's known as Maggie Rain and my goodness is she a force! She never ceases to amaze, impress and inspire us every day. Despite her "disadvantage", nothing slows her down. In fact, we need to remind her to stop and smell the roses! She's an incredibly strong swimmer and is often found sprinting to the nearest body of water to test it out. Her best friend is her sister Mesa and they were born to be sisters.
