Phoenix is a bumbly 10-month-old with a big head and an even bigger heart. Just on his size alone, we can tell he has some Rhodesian Ridgeback and pit bull in him with lots of room to grow. He is neutered, potty trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. He loves to play and gets along great with other dogs. Once he’s out of energy, he is the cuddliest lovebug and enjoys his time stretched out on the couch with you. He’s very curious about cats but doesn’t yet understand his size when it comes to playing with them. Because he was rescued as a stray, he can be anxious when it comes to food. But if he eats his food separate from his foster brothers he does great. During his time with his foster, he’s blossomed into the goofiest, most adorable boy.   The best home for Phoenix is one with a big yard and a tall fence and someone who can spend a lot of time playing with him. He’ll need someone (or a family with older kids 15+) who has experience working with large dogs and puppies. He would also do wonderfully with another dog around his size and age, or at least has the same energy he does. He does great at the dog park with all sorts of other pups.  Please know he is still a puppy and requires a lot of patience and love as he grows, because he’s got nothing but love to give.
