Two cats, Patch and Vanessa, were rescued out in Brighton on a farm where there is a small colony of feral cats.  Every so often a friendly stray or cat who was abandoned makes there way to a place like this that offers shelter and food.  Luckily, the family who owns the farm is on the lookout for cats who have wandered in.  If they are able to be handled, then we get a call.  We’ve taken several from there over the past year or so; they have all transitioned well into new homes and added much love to their adopted families.  Vanessa is a beautiful girl, but still nervous.  She also is sweet, but needs a bit of time to settle into her new home.  Both had a car ride, stay overnight in a new home, vetting next day and boom – finally here at their foster home in Evergreen.  Then she had a dental and was on pain meds which she did not like.  So she had a little set back in being afraid, but is moving forward with socializing now.  Complete a cat application on the rescue’s website.   www.eapl.com
