Jackson is a gentle, quiet boy who enjoys a good nap at any time of day. His favorite activities to engage in when he is not napping include watching rabbits and squirrels in the yard, chewing on his toys, rolling in the grass, and maybe having another nap. Because of the heartworm treatment, he has had to be kept very calm for the past few months, so going for walks is something he can look forward to in the near future. He will need some gentle coaching about walking nicely on the leash and not give in to the temptation to engage with all those fascinating rabbits.  He has expressed interest in doing some solo exploring, so to discourage that he will need a fenced yard and supervised outside time until he feels safe in his new home. He can be very skittish in new spaces and will shy away from quick movements. He has been great with the dog that was already in our home, but due to being a homebody during his heartworm treatment, we haven’t seen how he might interact with other dogs out in the world.  His previous foster family had 5 dogs and he was very comfortable in that pack and didn’t  have any issues. He is very friendly with new people and great with little kids.
