She is an owner surrender that EAPL is working with to try to assist in her rehoming.  She was adopted from EAPL as a puppy.  Currently, EAPL does not have any open foster homes so we are trying to assist. Hazel Mac is a 21-month-old 30 pounds, spayed retriever mix. She is super sweet and friendly and loves to play fetch. She will even toss a ball to herself! She is kennel trained and will spend time in the kennel if left during the day and sleeps in the kennel overnight. She is a heavy chewer so she needs the toughest Kongs and toys. She is housebroken and walks well on a leash/harness. She has been around other dogs and older children, but it is unknown how she is with cats or younger children. She seems to not enjoy riding in a car but who knows if that might change with a little patience. We take her to a groomer for a bath and nails. Hazel will do well with someone who has extra time and extra space for this girl who is still very much a puppy with puppy behaviors. She follows lots of commands like sit, wait, stay, down, go potty, leave it, take it, go kennel/blanket, shake, high 5 and many more.
