Meet Guinness! The Special Needs Bulldog

bulldog pup 1Meet Guinness! Guinness is a 12wk American Bulldog X puppy. He was abandoned at a local shelter in the night drop off box. Because of his special needs, he was not a candidate for adoption. So EAPL took him into our program. As you can see from his video, he will definitely need to see our orthopedic surgeon and possibly neurology (incase he has a spinal cord problem). But he gets around just fine and is a total puppy. He loves everyone and everything and loves to play. We will keep you updated on his progress. If you would like to help and donate towards his vet bills, please visit our donations page

After 2 knee surgeries, Guinness is almost ready for his hip surgery-yay! Guinness was a night drop off box at a local shelter, but thank goodness EAPL has great fosters like Stacy Weinstein to take on big projects, like adorable Guinness:)

Stacy says “Blessed with good looks, Guinness has natural swagger. Family Vet (Evergreen) says he’s healing quickly and almost redy to fix that hip! Thanks EAPL!”

Featuring our very own Shiloh!

shiloh 12

shiloh 9Shiloh is a fun, playful, loving romper-chomper of a pup. At just 1.5 years she’s been through a lot. She’s had a litter of pups on her first heat, got separated from them, lived in a high-kill shelter in Houston for 45 days, where she was spayed. She then was transferred to CO with EAPL to save her from euthanization.

shiloh 3Shiloh is very sweet and VERY affectionate. Loves to cuddle. Wonderful with children (currently in a foster home with an 8 & 2 yo). Gets along great with other dogs, very playful. Good on and off leash (likes to stay close). Zero aggression with food or at the fence when another dog passes. She is silly and energetic when she plays. Completely house broken and knows how to use the dog door. Listens very well to instruction and easily learns new commands. Great family dog!
